Math

This program provides a traditional Montessori environment specifically designed for the transition age child.  It also serves as a transition program for children who are not quite ready, or are too young, for an academic first grade.

While following the typical Montessori curriculum, more emphasis is placed on readiness skills.  The children are exposed to a well-developed math and language program covering reading, writing, and beginning math skills and concepts and an enriched science and cultural studies curriculum.

The Kindergarten/Transition Program at the Preschool campus is designed for the younger kindergarten age child as well as the traditional kindergartner.  The program located at the Elementary campus in El Cerrito was developed for the slightly older kindergarten child because of the proximity to the other elementary students.  Both are developmental programs designed to meet the needs of each individual child.

Please join us for an open house!  To schedule an individual tour of the Scenic campus, call the Main Office at (510) 848-2322.  To schedule an individual tour of the Elementary campus, call (510) 236-8802.
