In our preschool we prepare the environment for "hands on" learning experiences in beginning math, reading, writing, as well as cultural subjects such as science, geography and ecology. Our preschool children learn to socialize harmoniously with others, take care of their own needs, work independently, and develop a good self-image.

Kindergarten Transition Program:
(For children entering Montessori between the ages of 4-6)
This program provides a Montessori environment specifically designed to meet the needs of children who are not quite ready, or too young for an academic elementary class. While following the typical Montessori curriculum, more emphasis is placed on readiness skills and children are exposed to a well-developed program of math, cultural subjects, science, and language.

Lower Elementary Program:
(A three year program for 6-9 year olds)
In the Lower Elementary program, we emphasize reading, math, geometry, handwriting, creative writing, and grammar. During this time, the teachers engages children's imagination and begins to open up the world to them with more in-depth exposure the the cultural subject areas.

Upper Elementary Program:
(Athree year program for 9-12 year olds)
The Upper Elementary program refines what has been taught previously while greatly expanding basic skills. Creative writing, grammar, expository writing, poerty, research and literary analysis, are covered in depth.

Middle School:
(A two year program for 12-14 year olds)
The Montessori middle school program is a "lived" curriculum, with an emphasis on real world activites and building real life skills that prepare students for growing independence.

Please Keep in Mind:
- You must submit the application packet with the application fee. The fee covers the cost
of processing the application.
- Once your child's application has been received, we will arrange an appointment so that your child may visit the
school and meet with a teacher.
- Acceptance letters for preschool applicants are mailed out
starting in early February. When enrollment is full, accepted applicants
are placed on a waiting list and are contacted if an opening becomes
available. Acceptance letters for kindergarten, elementary, and middle school applicants
are mailed out in early March, with contracts due back around the middle
of March.
**Note: Children cannot begin school unless all state forms are
completed and returned to the school office. Medical records verifying
immunization MUST be completed before attendance begins.
