The Montessori Family School Purchases a Permanent Elementary Site and Goes Green!
The Montessori Family School will firmly establish itself in the 21st century with the exciting purchase and remodel of a permanent home for its kindergarten through elementary programs. This former church site has the space to accommodate all of our current elementary programs and room to grow. With the acquisition of this building, we will have a large community room for indoor play and all school events, room for music and yoga, an art wing, a wonderful kitchen, and two new play yards and a school garden. With solar panels and sustainable materials and design throughout our building, we will be able to “go green” as part of our mission. Our new site is just a few blocks from two local parks and is located in a lovely, safe, quiet, residential neighborhood at 7075 Cutting Boulevard, El Cerrito. Both the permanence and future development of our school will be secured by the renovation and remodel of our already purchased site.
